When you're preparing to go on holiday it's pretty important that you ensure that you have packed all the essential items that you require. If you're forgetful like many of us then it would probably be very helpful to make a list of the items you'll need. If you make a comprehensive list of everything you'll need on your holiday then you can check the items off as you pack them.

One of the most important items if you passport! You'd be surprised at how many people turn up at airports having forgotten their passport! Make sure this is the last thing on your list so you pack in somewhere in your bag that is easily accessible, as you'll be asked to produce it at the airport.

Packing appropriate clothes is important too! If you're visiting a hot destination then sunscreen and sunglasses are a necessity. However, should you forget either of these items you should be able to pick up a pair of sunglasses or a bottle of sunscreen cheaply when you arrive at your destination. Also, clothes that are appropriate for the climate of the country you're visiting are very important too. Shorts and light t-shirts are the best clothes to pack for warm countries, whilst you'll need plenty of layers and a decent jacket if you're off somewhere very cold.
